ABSOLUTE CONTRADICTIONS

FOR PMU

PREGNANCY,

BREASTFEEDING,

ACTIVE CANCER,

ALLERGY TO PIGMENT,

DERMOGRAPHISM.

Even if only one of them applies, it is absolutely prohibited to perform pigmentation.

RELATIVE CONTRADICTIONS

FOR PMU

For relative contradictions the procedure can be performed only after completing relevant treatment or following doctor's or cosmetologist's recommendations, depending on the type of contraindication. 

  1. HERPES - After healing and with orally applied acyclovir

  2. Skin condition in area of planned procedure -After completing treatment

  3. Allergy - Allergy test with pigment 1-month observation period

  4. Wrinkle correction in the area of planned procedures with botulinum toxin / hyaluronic acid - recommended break of 1-2 weeks between procedures

  5. Tendency to develop keloids - test based on linear application of pigment behind the ear, 1-month observation period

  6. Tendency to develop bruises / blood coagulation disorders/ coagulant based therapies -complete treatment if the clotting disorder/ cessation of anticoagulants recommended by the physician in charge

  7. Oral retinoids - recommended break of at least 6 months after therapy

  8. Medication that may cause disorder after pigmentation - After complete removal of the medication in the body (depending on the kind of used medication)

  9. Chemotherapy, corticosteroids, immunosuppressive medication - recommended a break at least one year after therapy

  10. Severe infections e.g. flu, strep, angina - completing treatment and after full recovery

  11. Heart/ kidney/ liver diseases, diabetes, arterial hypertension - after consulting the physician in charge, often with antibiotics (diabetes, pacemarker

  12. Dermal diseases (e.g. psoriasis, lichen planus, warts, Darier disease, AD, chronic ulcerative dermatitis - the procedure can be conducted during the remission period after consulting with dermatologist in charge
